The Cisco Meraki MR42-HW is an 802.11ac Wave 2 access point for. Its 3x3:3 MU-MIMO radios on 2.4 and 5 GHz deliver a combined data rate of up to 1.9 Gbps. A dedicated third radio continuously handles WIDS/WIPS, spectrum analysis and location analytics, while a fourth radio provides Bluetooth LE beacons. It is powered via PoE (802.3at) and managed through the cloud-based Meraki Dashboard, with features including 802.1X, VLANs, a Layer 7 firewall and fast roaming.
